5 Amazing Daily Planners for Remote Workers
As I’ve been working from home for the past 6 years, a daily planner has become a staple in my day. From meetings, classes, projects, my entire life basically lives within the pages of my planner. When you’re using something daily for 365 days in a row, I’ve come to believe that it’s worth paying a little more to get something that will hold up and that you really love using.
I decided to try a new planner each year, not because I haven’t been satisfied (because I’ve truly loved each of those) but because I really wanted to compare as many options as I could.
So, here are 5 Amazing Daily Planners for Remote Workers
The Passion Planner
The Passion Planner offers 3 variations of planners: Academic, Dated, and Undated. I used the dated one.
One of the things I loved most about this planner was how it started by helping you organize and plan your year. From mapping out your short and long-term goals through your “Passion RoadMap” to going into great detail about how the planner is laid out, this planner really gives you the tools to plan and prepare for the year.
Another added bonus is that there is a “Monthly Reflection” at the end of each month. I found that this was a great way to stop and evaluate where I was each month. Often we don’t do this until the end of the year so I loved that they actually included this in the monthly layout.
Color + Design Selection:
If you’re looking for a basic cover design, then you might not mind the limited selection. When I purchased mine a few years ago, I think there were just 1-2 options for covers, and I went with the black. Fortunately, it looks like they’ve increased their selection of covers since then and I think there are 4 options now.
If you don’t want a planner cover with lot’s of florals or color, and is a solid color, then this is a great choice for you.
Daily Page Layout:
Price: $30-35
The Simplified Planner
The Simplified Planner was my very first (expensive) planner that I ever bought. This was back in 2015. I had been looking for a daily planner as I work remotely from my home office and really need an hour by hour layout.
At first I was nervous because I’d never paid more than $20 for a planner but I’m so glad I did. I loved how it was organized and I honestly only have positive things to say about it.
Color + Design Selection:
In terms of choices, I think that The Simplified Planner has the best selection of cover designs (simply based on my own aesthetics). There are always so many beautiful options each year!
Daily Page Layout:
The daily layout includes an hour by hour plan for the day as well as space to create a daily to do list and a note section at the bottom.
Price: $48-$58
The Day Designer
Visually, the Day Designer and Simplified Planner are very similar looking. And the daily page views are almost identical. Just like with the Simplified Planner, I love the daily layout since I work from home. I also like that there is a space where you can write your top 3 tasks for the day. This is great for prioritizing if you feel overwhelmed or you’re not sure where to start each day.

Price: $49-$59
The BlueSky Day Designer
This was the planner I used in 2018 and I loved it! If you like the design and layout of the Simplified Planner or the Day Designer, but want a less expensive alternative, this is it! Having used both versions, I can say that they are very similar.
The main difference is in the paper quality. The Simplified Planner and the original Day Designer use a higher quality paper which is a little thicker. Plus, the BlueSky version has a plastic cover whereas the originals have heavy covers.
Color + Design Selection:
As you can see, aside from being on thinner paper and cover, the actual layout and format is almost just like the original Day Designer.
Daily Page Layout:
This is the planner that I used for 2018, and out of all the planners here, it has one of my favorite layouts. From the quote, to lot’s of space for to do do’s and notes, I love this layout.
Price: $32.99
The Living Well Planner
I thought that I should end with this one because this is the planner that I’m using for 2019! I saw this one right after I purchased my Blue Sky Day Designer and knew last year that this was the one I wanted to try for 2019!
Color + Design Selection:
The Living Well Planner doesn’t have as many options as some of the others, but I didn’t mind that as it actually made it easier to choose which one I wanted to buy. I went with the floral one below.
Once I’ve used this one a little longer, I will make sure to follow up with my longer term thoughts and impressions. One other thing to keep in mind is that with the other 4 planners I purchased a “dated” version but this one only comes in an “undated” version.
Price: $49
To Sum Up:
Not sure which one to choose? I know, so many great choices, right? I would recommend clicking on each of the planner links above and taking a look around the websites. I’ve honestly loved each of these so regardless I don’t think you can make a wrong decision with any of these!
