Design Your Dream Life
If you know me personally, or have followed my blog for any length of time, you already know that I love to learn. I find that the best ways for me to get the most out of life are through experiences, books, and courses.
As a child, I remember that when we would sit down at dinner, my Dad would often ask us, “What did you learn today?” and I guess it stuck because it’s a question that I still ask myself and reflect on today.
A few months ago, I purchased Natalie Bacon’s Design Your Dream Life Academy course. I have followed Natalie for at least 2 years and have found so much value in reading her blog and newsletter. As we all know, we are inundated with too much info, but Natalie is one of the few people always over delivers.

What are the topics?
The course covers a wide range of topics surrounding productivity and designing your ideal life. You can see each of the main 11 topics below:
While each of the modules were valuable, the ones on Mindset, Overwhelm, Burnout, + Busyness, Productivity, and Goal Setting were my absolute favorites!
If you already follow Natalie or follow the work of Brooke Castillo, then you might be familiar with the idea that:
- Your thoughts create your feelings
- Your feelings create your actions
- Your actions create your results
This concept alone, will really set you ahead of most people when going through life and planning out your days, weeks, and life.
What Was My Experience Like With the Course?
I really love the format and layout of this course, and found myself getting really excited to work on the content each day. It’s self-paced so you can work through it as quickly or as slowly as you want.
I went fairly slowly because I really wanted to process and take everything in, however, I was still working through the lessons on a daily basis. Also, if you choose to work through the class slowly, I would suggest setting a specific daily goal. For example, I will complete one video or lesson per day, or I will work on the course for 30 minutes a day from 8-8:30 PM.
What I Liked Most About the Course?
1. Personal Examples
I really appreciated the examples that Natalie was able to incorporate from her own life. I’ve been a reader of Natalie’s blog for a couple of years now and always admired how much she is able to get done.
One of the big reasons why I bought the course, was to essentially learn from her, and her blueprint for how she does it. And I felt like my expectations were definitely met in this way.
2. Bite Sized Lessons
I loved that each video was short and concise. Therefore, even if you only allot 15 minutes a day to the course, you can still make steady progress. I also found that having less information per video allowed me to really process and implement each step before moving on.
3. Wide Range of Content
There is sooo much information packed into this course! And I also love that it’s material that I can continuously use for the rest of my life. This is a course that I will keep bookmarked so that I can return to specific lessons as needed, in the future.
Anything I would Change/Add?
There isn’t anything that I would take out of the course. However, in the future, maybe Natalie could add on a mastermind group or group coaching package as an upgrade. This way participants would be able to hold each other accountable and go even more in depth with one another.
This Course is for You if….
- You’re ready to make changes in your life
- You’re not happy with where you are currently
- You’re willing to put in the work to make it happen
- You want to dive deep into the topics of Productivity, Mindset, Goal Setting, Planning, etc.
- You have a growth mindset
Final Thoughts:
Overall, I would 100% recommend this course and I am so glad that I bought it! Remember that if you REALLY want to see results, you MUST be willing to do the work.
