For about 6 months now I have been trying to add meditation into my daily routine. The problem is that I can never seem to keep it going for more than a week..
To be honest, the whole situation is really confusing because when I do it I love how it makes me feel and then I can never figure out why I can’t seem to do it consistently. I suppose this is probably true of most habits, right?

I think so many of us just need to build a consistent routine into our lives so that is what I am going to do with meditation this upcoming year.
I have never really been a fan of “New Years Resolutions” and I really try to incorporate new resolutions and changes throughout the year rather than putting all of the pressure on the month of January. However, January 2013 holds an unusually special place in my heart because that is when I am leaving on the World Race so it is certainly a time of new beginnings for me in many aspects of my life.
I will let you know how things go with my new “meditation routine” and if you already have a routine in place feel free to let me know what works for you! Even if it’s not about meditation I would love to hear about it.
Action Step: What is 1 new habit that you would like to implement into your life? If you can’t think of anything…try 1 minute of meditation along with me.
UPDATE: As of April 2016 I am still meditating each morning and I can say that the results have been unbelievable. Even a few minutes can make such a lasting impression. I find that I worry less, am less stressed, and am certainly more at peace.
Give it a try and just see how it goes!
