I spent most of the day yesterday flying from my current home in Florida to my home state of Ohio. Since I am leaving for an entire year, I was worried that I would be an emotional wreck but surprisingly it was not too bad.
As I was flying from Gainesville to Charlotte (leg 1 of my journey), I started to run through all of the amazing memories that I have collected while living in Florida. However, I am certain that over the course of my next year abroad I will have hundreds and perhaps thousands of wonderful new memories to add to my beautiful life story.
I journal like my life depends on it…so I wanted to share a few thoughts that stood out to me as I was reading through past journals. I really devoured these notes as I sat with my warm “Christmas Blend” from Starbucks, my Ipod, and a four-inch stack of journals/notes.
I would encourage you to make yourself a cup of tea/coffee/hot chocolate and simply reflect on the thoughts below and see if any of them stand out/speak to you! Stop praying for a life of impact and do something impactful. Stop praying for a bigger platform and use the one you’ve been given. Stop praying for a better assignment and start performing better with the one you have.
